Bangkok (VNA) – Outstanding ASEAN businesses and entrepreneurs were named at an exchange programme in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 27.

The bloc’s most favourite brand names, favourite destinations, and quality products and services were also honoured at the event.

These titles were supervised by the Asian Network for Quality, the Standards and Quality Association of Thailand, the Singapore Quality Institute, and the Vietnam Quality Association of Ho Chi Minh City.

The programme, held annually by ASEAN member countries since 2014, aims to boost economic and cultural connectivity in the region, and encourage businesses and entrepreneurs to develop prestigious and quality products and services, thus contributing to building a healthy ASEAN business environment.

It also offers a chance for enterprises in the bloc to promote their trademark.

On the same day, a seminar themed “ASEAN Economic Community – Opportunities and Challenges for ASEAN Businesses” was held, with numerous cooperation contracts inked.

On November 28, fact-finding tours are expected to be organised to help participating businesses seek investment opportunities in Thailand’s industrial and services sectors.-VNA
