Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The newly-established Asia-Pacific Innovation Centre is expected to foster a culture of creativity and innovation across sectors.
Recently introduced in Bangkok, the centre mirrors close cooperation between the Thai government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Its aim is to develop creativity and innovation among the general public, the private sector, the education sector, and governmental agencies.
The centre allows learners to invent, create new knowledge, and incorporate newly-discovered development methods across the Asia-Pacific region into everyday operations. It brings together like-minded persons to make the world a better place through innovation.
Tossaporn Sirisamphan, Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), said the government has been promoting innovative technologies in many sectors such as automobile, food, fashion, and the software industry. As a result, Thailand has been chosen as Asia’s learning centre for innovative mechanisms to address poverty, inequality, and climate change.
