Asian Men’s Volleyball Championships kicks off in Ninh Binh

NinhBinh (VNA) – The Asian Men’s Volleyball Championships, hosted by thenorthern provinces of Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh, opened in Ninh Binh on June 28.

Itdrew participation of 13 top volleyball teams in Asia, including Canberra Heat from Australia, China Beijing Baic Motor from China, YanChai from Hong Kong (China), Sarmayeh Bank from Iran, Al-Bahri from Iraq,Toyota Gosei Trefuerza from Japan, Altay from Kazakhstan, Al-Arabi from Qatar,the teams of Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Taiwan (China), Air Force fromThailand and the Vietnamese team.

Theteams are divided into four groups and will compete in a round robin format. The winner will represent Asia at the 2018 World Volleyball Men’s WorldChampionship.

After the opening ceremony, the match between Vietnamand Al-Bahri of Iraq took place.  

Thisis the first time Vietnam has hosted the annual event.

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors.
