Youth delegates from 22 countries across Asia gathered at the Asian Youth Forum 2013, which opened in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, on May 31.
Themed “Youth and Peace: Strengthening Peace, Stability and Development through Education”, the two-day event is being attended by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and President of the Asian Youth Council Mohamad Khir Toyo.
According to President of the Union of Youth Federation of Cambodia Hun Many, the forum will exchange views on fostering peace, stability and development through education.
Delegates will also discuss challenges, share experience and reflect their commitments to actively building a culture of peace and development in the region and the world, he added.
The forum is expected to adopt a joint statement on the closing day.-VNA
