The Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City presented 18 pieces of newborn healthcare equipment to the Khanh Hoa General Hospital on April 2 in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.
The equipment, worth nearly one billion VND (46,000 USD), was co-funded through the Australian Government and the Vina Capital Fund.
The move is a step towards ensuring access to healthcare for local children, said Australian Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City John McAnulty.
The donation is part of activities for the Australian Direct Aid Programme for Vietnam, aiming to improve child healthcare services and minimise the rate of child mortality in the province and its vicinity.-VNA
