Bac Giang (VNA) – The northern province of Bac Giang will pay attention to developing digital data to serve local digital transformation in the near future, said Director of the provincial Department of Information and Communications Tran Minh Chieu.

The websites and portals of State agencies in the province are evaluated to be secure in terms of information and have been granted network trust labels by the Authority of Information Security under the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Between now and 2025, Bac Giang will focus on building a modern digital transformation data centre that meets at least Tier 3 standards and employs cloud computing technology and converged architecture, with capabilities for parallel computing and big data processing. Its purpose will be to centrally manage information systems and shared databases throughout the province, thus meeting the requirements of digital governance, smart city development and information security.

It will also concentrate on developing high-quality dedicated data transmission network infrastructure by outsourcing services from telecommunications companies. This will ensure seamless connectivity across all three levels of administration and the expansion of participation from relevant entities in a unified, synchronous and reliable manner.

Chieu said the province will develop the Integrated Data Sharing Platform, connecting it with internal information systems and databases and integrating it with the National Integrated Data Sharing Platform in line with the Vietnamese e-Government Architecture.

Furthermore, the locality is building a digital service connectivity platform using artificial intelligence technology and machine learning methods to ensure the integration of digital services with management applications, digital document storage, data exploration, and decision-making support for development.

Since the beginning of this year, the provincial Department of Information and Communications has been working closely with other departments, agencies and localities to review shared and open databases and provide references for the issuance of documents by the Chairman of the provincial People's Committee./.
