Bamboo Airways to launch new domestic, int’l flights in February

Vietnam’s Bamboo Airways has announced that it will launch several new international flights in February, as part of its plan to develop a network of 25 foreign routes this year.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s Bamboo Airways hasannounced that it will launch several new international flights in February, aspart of its plan to develop a network of 25 foreign routes this year. 

They include Vietnam – Czech Republic, Hanoi – Incheon (theRepublic of Korea), Hanoi – Kaohsiung, Taiwan (China) routes.

In the domestic market, the airline will open such routes as Ho Chi Minh City – Buon Ma Thuot, HoChi Minh City – Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City – Chu Lai, Hanoi – Pleiku, Hanoi –Tuy Hoa, Hai Phong – Buon Ma Thuot and Vinh – Nha Trang, towards achieving thegoal of having 60 routes this year.

The carrier also raised the number of daily Hanoi – Ho ChiMinh City flights to 36, compared to 18-20 before February 15.

Bamboo Airways ran its first commercial flight in January2019. As of the end of last year, it served over three million passengers on nearly20,000 flights.

It is now running a fleet of 28 aircraft with three Boeing787-9 Dreamliner, becoming the first private Vietnamese carrier to operate this wide-body airplane.  

As Bamboo Airways has yet to launch any flight to China, itis less hit by the impact of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak./.

Private sector's development key to Vietnam’s economic growth

Currently, the private economic sector comprises over 6.1 million business establishments, including approximately 940,000 registered enterprises and over 5.2 million household businesses.
