A delegation of European Parliament Committee of Fisheries led by the committee spokeman Gabriel Mato had a working session with Binh Dinh province on October 31st on measure to cope with illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in the locality.
Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Chau said after the EC’s yellow card warning, Binh Dinh province has made efforts to implement the committee’s recommendations against illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing in order to remove the yellow card.
Mato Gabriel spoke highly of the province’s efforts, saying he hopes that they will be helpful for the EC’s early removal of the “yellow card” warning for Vietnamese seafood exports to the EU.
The same day, the delegation inspected and had a working session at Quy Nhon fishing port, Binh Dinh seafood joint stock company and Binh Dinh tuna association./.-VNA
