The International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), a venue for scientists at home and abroad, will be opened in Quy Nhon city, the central province of Binh Dinh, on August 12.
It was informed by the organising board of the ninth “Meet Vietnam” programme at a press conference in Quy Nhon city on August 5.
The inauguration ceremony is expected to see the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan and 230 scientists, including five Nobel laureates.
It will be followed by Vietnam’s first international physics workshop, during which Nobel laureates Prof. Sheldon Glashow from the US and Prof. Klaus von Klitzing from Germany will present their latest studies on particle physics, astrophysics and cosmology.-VNA
