Binh Duong announces solutions for smart city development

Solutions for developing smart cities and industrial parks in the southern province of Binh Duong were announced at a ceremony jointly organised by the provincial People’s Committee, Becamex IDC, and Japanese telecommunications company Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) on June 9.

Binh Duong (VNA) -  Solutionsfor developing smart cities and industrial parks in the southern province of BinhDuong were announced at a ceremony jointly organised by the provincial People’s Committee, Becamex IDC, and Japanese telecommunications company Nippon Telegraphand Telephone (NTT) on June 9.

At the event, VietnamTechnology and Telecommunication JSC (VNTT) – a subsidiary of Becamex IDC - signed a strategic collaboration agreement with NTT Data of NTT Group to deploysolutions for developing smart city and industrial parks in Binh Duong.

The collaboration aimsto support businesses in Binh Duong to master comprehensive and sustainablesmart city technologies and solutions, thus upgrading and modernising theinfrastructure of urban areas, industrial parks, and factories in the locality.

VNTT and Becamex IDCalso inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on  transforming Becamex IDC's industrial parksinto smart ones, towards developing a sustainable and green industrialecosystem.

Under the MoU, Becamex IDC’s industrial park system will be applied with solutionsof smart wastewater treatment, smart security camera, smart lighting, and manyother utilities, which will be controlled and monitored at the Becamex SmartOperation Centre in Binh Duong New City.

According to Vice Chairmanof the provincial People’s Committee Mai Hung Dung, Binh Duong’s project for smartcity development has recorded significant successes.

The locality is striving to make breakthroughs in the project, aiming to turn BinhDuong into a hub for innovation and creativity, creating an impetus to boostdevelopment and meet the needs of residents and businesses, he said./.
