The Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament – Biwase Cup 2016 will be held from March 8 to 16 with the participation of eight local and six international teams.

Binh Duong (VNA) - The Binh Duong International Women’s Cycling Tournament – Biwase Cup 2016 will be held from March 8 to 16 with the participation of eight local and six international teams.

The foreign competitors come from Thailand, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, announced Ngo Van Lui, Head of the event’s organising board at a press conference on March 2.

The cyclists will join the race that stretches 795 kilometres across Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria- Vung Tau and Binh Duong provinces.

Especially, they have to conquer three passes, namely Bao Loc and Prem in Lam Dong province, and Vinh Hy in Ninh Thuan province.

The annual event offers a good chance for Vietnamese cyclists to improve their performance through competition with sturdy riders in the region.

The tournament is also considered a preparation for the local riders before going to the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and the Asian championships.-VNA
