The first Binh Duong International Women Cycling Open Tournament (Biwase Cup 2011) ended in the southern province of Binh Duong on March 13.
After six days of competition, the three highest posts of the individual categories all went to Vietnamese cyclists. They are Nguyen Thi That from An Giang, Pham Thi Kim Loan from Dong Thap and Vo Thi Phuong Phi from Binh Duong.
Regarding the team category, Dong Thap won the first prize while Malaysia and Binh Duong won the second and third prizes, respectively.
The total prize money, amounting to over 200 million VND, was awarded to the tournament’s yellow, green and white jersey winners and the best team.
The tournament drew the participation of 56 cyclists from 12 domestic teams and two foreign squads from Thailand and Malaysia . They competed in six stages of over 540 kilometre long racing track through various southern provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An, Tay Ninh and Binh Phuoc./.
