Binh Phuoc arrests five illegal Chinese immigrants

Binh Phuoc (VNA) - The border guard force in the southern province of Binh Phuoc on February 24 arrested five Chinese nationals who illegally entered Vietnam and had intention to escape to another country.

The Chinese nationals, aged between 19 and 31, came from Hunan and Hubei provinces. They were captured at 10:30 pm at border marker No.70 in Thanh Bien hamlet, Loc Thanh commune, Loc Ninh district.

They said they entered Vietnam on February 22, then were transported to Hanoi on a four-seat car. The following day, they boarded a coach to travel to Ho Chi Minh City. They were picked up to a passenger car driven by a Vietnamese to the border area of Binh Phuoc province.

While trying to cross the border to find jobs, they were arrested in Thanh Bien hamlet.

On February 25, the border guard at Hoa Lu International Border Gate completed all procedures to hand over the Chinese nationals to local authorities for quarantine in accordance with regulations./.
