An international workshop focusing on promoting connections in tourism development among Vietnam’s central coastal, Central Highlands and southeast localities with provinces in southern Laos and northeast Cambodia will take place in the southern central province of Binh Thuan from September 11-12.
According to the organising board, the event will be attended by 500 delegates from tourism agencies and businesses from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia as well as foreign embassies in Vietnam, among others.
Speaking at a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on September 5, Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam highlighted the significance of the workshop, saying it offers a good chance for the leaders of three countries’ tourism sectors to analyse the potential advantages in tourism development, thus outlining policies to promotes links among their localities in the future.
In the framework of the event, an exhibition on tourism development in the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia development triangle and an investment promotion conference will be arranged.-VNA
Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand join hands to boost sea tourism
Tourism officials from Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam have agreed to build a sea tourism package programme connecting tourism sites in the southern ends of the three countries.
