Bodies of all 23 people on board a Lao military helicopter that cashed early this week were recovered, the Ministry of National Defence announced on July 30.
The Mi-17 helicopter with four crew members and 19 passengers en route from Vientiane to the northern provinces of Xieng Khuang and Huaphan crashed in Luangphanxay village, Longchaeng district, Xaysomboun province, the ministry said.
The plane took off from the capital at 13:10 pm on July 27 and sometime later lost contact with the flight control centre.
The crash site was located on July 29.
An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the accident. Bad weather is predicted to the cause of the accident.
Extreme weather has swept over many regions across Laos in recent days with forecasters warning of heavy rains, notably in the northern region.-VNA
