Hanoi (VNA) – Ticket sales at Cambodia’s Angkor Archaeological Park declined 99.5 percent to only 29,368 USD in April from almost 7 billion USD year-on-year due to travelling restriction measures during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Only 654 foreign visitors bought passes to the world-famous heritage site located in northern Siem Reap province.
From January to April this year, the park’s revenue went down nearly 60 percent year-on-year to approximately 18 million USD with a total number of 384,317 international holidaymakers.
For foreigners, a single-day entrance pass to the park costs 37 USD, three-day passes 62 USD, and seven-day passes 72 USD, while Cambodians can visit the site free of charge./.
