Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen made the suggestion during his talks with US President Donald Trump on November 13 on the sidelines of the 31st ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Manila, the Philippines.
PM Hun Sen said he had also raised the issue with Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama.
During the 1970-1975 period, the Cambodian Government borrowed some 200 million USD from the US. With interest, the debt now exceeds 500 million USD.-VNA
