Phnom Penh (VNA) - Cambodia has issued an emergency use authorisation (EUA) for the Russian-made Sputnik V vaccine against COVID-19.
Also on October 29, the Cambodian Ministry of Health granted the EUAs to four other Russian COVID-19 vaccines, including CoviVac of the Chumakov Centre, Sputnik-Light of the Gamaleya Institute, EpiVacCorona of the Scientific Research Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB SRC Vector), and EpiVacCorona of the State Research Centre of Virology and Biotechnology.
In February, the country issued the EUA for the Chinese-manufactured Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines, and the AstraZeneca developed by the University of Oxford.
As of October 29, 85.64 percent of Cambodia’s total population of 16 million had been vaccinated against COVID-19./.
