HCM City (VNA) – Taking place in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang from November 8-14, a Cambodia culture week is offering an opportunity to both nations to stimulate their traditional bond.

Meeting the HCM City People’s Committee Vice Chairman Hua Ngoc Thuan on November 9, Cambodian Secretary of State Menh Kossony, leading a delegation from the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts (MCFA), appreciated Vietnamese authorities’ assistance for the organisation of the event.

She lauded the city’s strong growth as well as comprehensive cooperation between the locality and its Cambodian partners.

Thuan said the cultural festival will help locals gain better understanding of Cambodia’s traditional art.

He also congratulated the nation on the 62nd anniversary of its National Day.

Under the rule of King Norodom Sihamoni, Cambodia has recorded significant achievements that will be spread to Vietnamese people through the cultural week, stated Thuan.-VNA
