Phnom Penh (VNA) - The Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) said that it will not hold the Central Committee meeting at the end of this year and its annual meeting celebrate the 42nd anniversary of January 7 Victory Day due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The CPP’s Central Committee said in a statement that despite the postponement, all of the party units have to prepare logos, banners and slogans to be displayed at various venues to celebrate the day.
In mid-August, the government said it will postpone the Water Festival initially scheduled for the end of this month in an effort to stem the spread of COVID-19.
On October 7, Cambodia’s COVID-19 infections stood at 280, with four active cases and zero death./.
