Vietnam’s cell phone export turnover to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were worth 1.36 billion USD in the first five months this year, according to the General Department of Customs.
With this, UAE became the largest import market of Vietnam’s cell phones, accounting for more than 17.7 percent of the country’s total cell phone export turnover (more than 8 billion USD in the first five months).
Cell phones accounted for nearly 87 percent of Vietnam’s total export turnover to this market in the first five months, which reached nearly 1.6 billion USD.
Together with cell phones, other commodities with large export turnover to UAE were computer and components at 53.5 million USD, pepper at 29.4 million USD, and garments and textiles at nearly 22.9 million USD.-VNA
