Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Ministerof Health Nguyen Quoc Trieu, emphasised that this is the first time theministry has built a complete, synchronised and modern facility andasked the institute to operate effectively, helping reduce overloadingat central hospitals.
Construction of the Institute began on December 25, 2006 on an area of 2,100 sq.m.
The300-patient bed institute is equipped with modern medical technologiesto diagnose and treat all related-blood diseases. It also has a bloodtransfusion centre with the capacity of 150,000 units of blood per year./.
