Cherry Blossom Festival marks Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties

The Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 will be held in March around the statue of King Ly Thai To in Hoan Kiem district to mark 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 will beheld in March around the statue of King Ly Thai To in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoidowntown, as part of activities to mark 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japandiplomatic relations, said Chairman of the Hanoi city People’s Committee NguyenDuc Chung.

He made the statement at a reception for Special Advisor to the JapaneseCabinet Isao Iijima in Hanoi on December 24.

Excellent art performances and special delicacies of both sides will befeatured at the event, he added.

Regarding economic cooperation, Hanoi city always welcomes investors andenterprises from Japan, Chung said, expressing his hope that proactive activitiesof enterprises in the two countries will make contributions to elevating thebilateral ties to a new height.

Meanwhile, the Japanese official highlighted that along with festiveactivities, the Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 should include meetings andexchanges between enterprises to promote trade and investment.

At the event, both parties also discussed measures to bolster trade promotionand enhance friendship and cooperative ties between Hanoi and Tokyo.-VNA
