More than 300 children with facial deformities will receive free operations during a month-long campaign that began on July 27 in Ho Chi Minh City.
During the Children’s Smile Programme, run by Operation Smile Vietnam (OSV) and Viettel Mobile Corporation, 17 doctors from the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in HCM City will work with local doctors to perform the surgery in the southeastern provinces of Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Binh Thuan and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
The programme will be organised in three phases, with the first at Binh Phuoc General Hospital from July 27-31, and the others at the National Hospital of Odonto-Stomatology in HCM City and Thien My Hospital from August 3-21.
