China attaches importance to the traditional friendship with Vietnam and commits itself together with the Vietnamese side to strengthen solidarity, cooperation and mutual support, writing a new glorious chapter in their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
The statement was made by Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Sun Guoxiang at his banquet in Hanoi on July 1 on the occasion of the 90 th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) (July 1, 1921-2011).
He stressed that China and Vietnam share many similarities as they are both socialist countries led by communist parties.
The ambassador expressed thanks for the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)’s valuable support and assistance for the CPC over the past 90 years.
In his congratulatory speech, Dinh The Huynh, Politburo member, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisation and Education, spoke highly of the CPC’s great achievements over the past 90 years, saying that the party accomplished a new democratic revolution to establish the People’s Republic of China and implement the building of socialism.
In particular, over the past 30 years, the CPC has initiated and led the Chinese people to carry out an open-door renovation process, gaining great victories, he said.
The Politburo member congratulated the CPC and Chinese people over their achievements made during the past nine decades and said he believed that under the leadership of the CPC, the fraternal Chinese people will harvest even greater achievements in the future.
The traditional friendship and cooperation between the two Parties, two States and two peoples have seen fine developments and been raised to the “comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership”, Huynh said, expressing his belief that with joint efforts by both sides, the traditional friendship will be continuously consolidated and developed.
The two sides will work together to seek satisfactory solutions for issues left by history as well as newly-arising issues in the interests of the two countries’ people and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world at large, he stressed./.
