Officials from the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands Region have wished all Catholics and Protestants in Dak Lak province a merry and warm Christmas.
Meeting with local dignitaries and followers on December 22-23, deputy heads of the committee Tran Viet Hung and H’Ngam Nie Kdam hailed their positive contributions to the province’s socio-economic development and security-defence maintenance.
They affirmed that the committee and local authorities will create all favourable conditions for the Catholic and Protestant communities to practise their religions.
Right Reverend of the Ban Me Thuat diocese Vinh Son Nguyen Van Ban expressed his gratitude for the assistance, saying that he will continue encouraging parishioners to obey the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws as well as making efforts to further develop the locality.
From December 20-23, delegations from the Steering Committee for the Southwestern Region, and the Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Mekong Delta province Hau Giang paid Christmas visits to Catholic and Protestant dignitaries and followers in the locality.-VNA
