The communist parties of Vietnam and the Ukraine should step up the level of cooperation and continue to exchange delegations, information and experiences in Party ideology, said a senior of official of Communist Party of Ukraine’s (CPU).
The CPU Central Comminitee’s First Secretary Petro Symonenko stated this during the recent talks in the Ukraine with Hoang Binh Quan, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee (CPVCC) and Head of the CPVCC’s Commission for External Relations.
Both informed each other of their respective countries’ situation and shared their experiences in Party work while exchanging their views on international and regional issues of mutual concern.
They agreed that the two parties should also focus on theory and educate the younger generations in both countries.
During their visit to the Ukraine from May 16-21, the CPVCC delegation held meetings with the Parliament’s Speaker, the First Deputy Prime Minister and the Deputy Foreign Minister.
The multi-faceted ties between Vietnam and the Ukraine have seen certain developments but are yet to match the potential and aspirations of both countries, said the Ukrainian government and parliament’s leaders, who hope to cooperate with Vietnam in economics, trade, science, technology, training and culture.
They stated that it is time to step up high-level political dialogue and create a new momentum to promote joint working in areas that both countries are strong in.
While in the Ukraine , the Vietnamese delegation visited the National Institute for Strategic Studies and attended a seminar on the communist parties of Ukraine and Vietnam in the new era. They also held meetings with Kharkov ’s city authorities and visited two industrial centres./.
