Experts from the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL International) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) are carrying out a two-day course in Hanoi from October 20.
Basic procedures to handle business insolvency, including bankruptcy management and operation assessments, are the training focus for participating accountants and lawyers who specialise in turnaround and insolvency.
A similar course will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from October 23-24.
The ninety participants in the two courses are trained in business restructuring in early 2016.
Deputy Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court Tong Anh Hao said the educational programme helps learners develop the capacity for more effective practices.
The INSOL International, the IFC and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) are supporting the organisation of the programme.
Since the Law on Bankruptcy took effect in 2014, the practitioners have thus far established a network of more than 250 licensed professionals across Vietnam. Their work enhances efficiency and maximise values recovered by creditors, according to IFC Country Manager for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos Kyle Kelhofer.-VNA
