COVID-19: Vietnam reports 8,982 new cases, over 10,000 recoveries on Nov 12

Vietnam recorded 8,982 infections of COVID-19, including six imported cases, in the past 24 hours to 4pm on November 12, an increase of 831 cases compared to the previous day, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 8,982 infections of COVID-19, including six imported cases, in the past 24 hours to 4pm on November 12, an increase of 831 cases compared to the previous day, according to the Ministry of Health.

The new cases brought the national tally to 1,009,879.

Ho Chi Minh City reported the highest number of infections with 1,388, followed by neighbouring Dong Nai province with 813, and An Giang province with 661.

The capital city of Hanoi logged 176 new cases.

A total of 10,263 recoveries were reported on November 12, taking the total number of patients given the all-clear to 856,211.
 
According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 3,515 patients nationwide are in serious conditions, with 311 requiring invasive ventilation and 14 on life support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 81 deaths from the disease. The death toll now hits 22,930.

More than 96.55 million vaccine doses have been administered to date, with over 32.87 million people having received two doses./.
