Hanoi (VNA) – The Foreign Ministryheld a conference in Hanoi on December 20 in both online and offline formats to popularise the content of a cultural diplomacy strategy till 2030 which was promulgated by the Prime Minister on November 30, 2021.
Chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister and Chairman ofthe Vietnam UNESCO National Committee Dang Hoang Giang, the event drew theparticipation of over 250 delegates from ministries, agencies, 63 cities andprovinces, and overseas representative agencies, along with a number of major domestic enterprises.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Foreign AffairsBui Thanh Son said the strategy is a product of collective brainpower, which clarifies the contents and tasks of cultural diplomacy in service of the foreign policy and cultural development policies.
The event was also meant as a step in implementing Party andState leaders’ directions at recent important meetings such as the NationalCultural Conference, the National Conference on Foreign Affairs and the 31st Diplomatic Conference, he said.
Participants at the event discussed measures toeffectively carry out the strategy, with localities, people and businesses as acentre, contributing to popularising images of the country, people andproducts./.
