Customs clearance via Bac Luan II bridge launched

Vietnam’s northeastern Quang Ninh province and China’s Guangxi province officially launched customs clearance through Bac Luan II bridge at Mong Cai International Border Gate on March 19.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – Vietnam’s northeastern Quang Ninh provinceand China’s Guangxi province officially launched customs clearance through BacLuan II bridge at Mong Cai International Border Gate on March 19.

The Bac Luan II bridge is expected to facilitate the flow of goodsbetween Vietnam and China, while Bac Luan I bridge will be used for people’stravelling.

The Bac Luan II bridge was inaugurated in September 2017 after nearly threeyears of construction. It was built under the cooperation of the two provincesto bolster bilateral trade, services and tourism.

The Bac Luan II is 618 metres in length and 27.7 metres in width. A partstretching 154.5 metres of the bridge was built by the Vietnamese side, whilethe Chinese side was responsible for the remaining.

Quang Ninh province had also built a 3.5 km road section leading to thebridge and a 7,000 sq.m storehouse with modern equipment.

The province will continue the construction of Van Don-Mong Caiexpressway later this month, which will be connected to the road to the BacLuan II bridge.

Upon its completion, it will form part of the longest expressway inVietnam, running through the cities of Mong Cai, Ha Long, Hai Phong and Hanoi, andLao Cai province.-VNA

As of February 28, total disbursed capital reached 55.74 trillion VND, equivalent to 5.6% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.
