This was the second consecutive month in2023 that the number of cyberattacks in Vietnam has reduced strongly, the authority reported.
It attributed the results to domesticagencies and organisations’ greater attention to protecting information security,and the outcomes of long efforts to increase investment in the work.
However, the authority held that cybercrime groups are still likely to targetorganisations and businesses related to financial services such as banking,securities and insurance. It advised enterprises to comply with regulations ofstate management agencies to prevent risks of cyberattacks and give timelyresponse.
In March, 525 cyberattacks were recorded in Vietnam, a decrease of 68.9%month on month and 49.3% year on year.
In the first quarter of 2023, a total of 3,446 cyberattacks were reported andhandled, down 6.3% compared to the same period in 2022./.
