Da Nang tourism flourishes thanks to fireworks festival

Da Nang is experiencing a vibrant summer tourism season, marked by a series of attractive festivals, most notably the recently concluded International Fireworks Festival. This key event has drawn both domestic and international visitors, significantly boosting the city's economic growth, especially in tourism and services.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 wrapped up after a month and a half, leaving a lasting impression with its spectacular and safe festivities.

Despite being an annual event now in its 12th year, the festival's appeal continues to grow. The weekend finale saw hotel occupancy rates across the city reach 95%.

The festival not only kept travel agencies, hotels, and resorts busy but also filled restaurants, traditional markets, and entertainment venues across Da Nang.

In the first half of the year, Da Nang's economy saw a 5% overall growth, with the service sector contributing nearly 6%. Retail sales and consumer service saw an increase of nearly 14% compared to the same period last year.

With the combined efforts of the government and businesses, Da Nang has crafted a unique tourism product, enhancing its brand as the "City of Fireworks" and a leading festival destination in Asia./.
