Da Nang tourism sees positive recovery signals

The central coastal city of Da Nang continues to see a positive recovery in tourism in the early months of the year. Efforts in developing products and enhancing promotion have contributed to attracting international tourists to the city.

Inochina Unique said it has received bookings from various groups visiting Da Nang, spanning ASEAN markets to North Asia and India. Da Nang's international flights are bustling, underscoring the city's allure and the central region's attractions.

MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism continues to be a strength of Da Nang, with a particular focus on wedding tourism. Since the beginning of the year, Da Nang has been selected as the venue for 20 luxurious wedding events, including four Indian weddings that attracted over 1,000 guests at 5-star beachfront hotels.

In the first two months of the year, Da Nang welcomed more than 1.16 million visitors, a 23.3% increase from the same period last year. Foreign tourists numbered around 370,000, up 26.5%. Revenue from accommodation, food, and travel surpassed 196.6 million USD, nearly 30% higher than the same period in 2023.

Despite ongoing challenges, Da Nang is optimistic about maintaining stable growth and achieving sustainable recovery in its key economic sector post-pandemic./.
