The Asia-America Gateway (AAG) undersea cable was fully repaired by 2.20am of May 12, restoring full Internet services between Vietnam and other countries.
This was confirmed by a representative of FPT Telecom and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT).
Director of VNPT International (VTI) Lam Quoc Cuong said the firm's customers could access the Internet as usual.
The 20,000km submarine cable was found cut at a section between Vietnam's Vung Tau city and Hong Kong and Singapore at 5.27am on April 23. The cable break slowed down the Internet services between Vietnam and other countries.
