Hanoi (VNA) – A memorandum of understanding was signed in Hanoi on June8 to carry out a programme on facilitating digital transformation and assistingsmall- and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives and business households in theconsumption of farm produce in the country.
Signatories were the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MoPI)’sAgency of Enterprise Development, the Ministry of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment’s Agro Processing and Market Development Authority, theVietnam Cooperative Alliance’s Centre for Trade Promotion and Investment, andGrab Vietnam.
In the immediate future, the programme will help with farm produce sale via digital platforms in localities hit by COVID-19 or those underlockdown, including experimenting on Grab.
Practical activities will be also held to raise awareness ofdigital transformation among businesses, cooperatives, business households andfarmers.
The activity is also part of the programme to assist firms indigital transformation for the 2021-2025 period launched by the MoPI.
Earlier, Grab announced the GrabConnect project to connect farmers withconsumers nationwide to consume farm produce and safe local specialties.
GrabConnect also launched the first scheme to help consume 300tonnes of Luc Ngan lychees in Bac Giang province via Grab’s ecological system./.
