Deputy PM inaugurates secondary school in Long An

Long An (VNA) – Permanent Deputy Prime MinisterTruong Hoa Binh attended a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over Binh Thanhsecondary school and 11 rural bridges funded by Agribank to the Mekong Deltaprovince of Long An on May 5.

The Binh Thanh secondary school sits on a site of 10,000sq.m with 12 classrooms, 23 functional rooms, one multi-functional sportinghall and other facilities. It was built for over one year at a total cost ofover 46 billion VND (2 million USD) funded by the Vietnam Bank for Agricultureand Rural Development (Agribank).

The 11 rural bridges in Moc Hoa, Thanh Hoa and Duc Huedistricts were built at a total cost of over 15 billion VND.

Speaking at the event, Deputy PM Binh lauded businesses andphilanthropists for helping Long An build infrastructure works in poor andborder areas.

He asked the beneficiaries to seriously follow Stateregulations on works maintenance and exploitation, as well as fully tap them tomeet public demand.-VNA

Deputy PM asks for highest education quality, safety for students

Regarding the construction of inter-level boarding schools in border communes, all 108 schools under Phase 1 opened for the 2026-2027 academic year, with 40 having completed all construction items.
