Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has affirmed that the Vietnamese Government will always create favourable conditions for foreign firms, including those from the Republic of Korea (RoK), to invest and expand business in Vietnam.
Hai stated this during his June 8 reception for visiting RoK Deputy Minister of Strategy and Finance Choo Kuyn Hoo, who was in the country for a working trip and to attend the inauguration of the RoK-funded Vinh Thinh Bridge in Hanoi.
The host said he is delighted at the development of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries in recent years, especially in economics, sci-technology, culture, tourism and labour export.
He also thanked the RoK Government for its provision of official development aid (ODA) for Vietnam, including the funding for the construction of Vinh Thinh bridge, which is expected to help promote Vietnam’s socio-economic development in the coming time.
For his part Choo said his country will work harder to further bolster development cooperation between the two countries, as well as broaden its strategic partnership with Vietnam in the future.
The 137 million USD Vinh Thinh Bridge links Hanoi’s outlying town of Son Tay with Vinh Tuong district in Vinh Phuc province across the Red River.
As the longest river crossing in the country, the 5,487m bridge was built by engineers and workers of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).
It was inaugurated on June 8.-VNA
