Hanoi (VNA) – Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh on February 26 lauded Germany’s Hessen state as a most active factor in Vietnam – Germany strategic partnership.

He lauded cooperation between Hessen and Vietnam through the Vietnam – Germany University project which is dubbed as a “lighthouse” in bilateral ties. All curricula are lectured by professors from Germany’s partner schools.
As the two countries are celebrating the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties this year, more visits will be facilitated while major celebrations will be held, including the Vietnam Culture Days in Germany.
Binh suggested that Minister Dorn encourage local firms to invest in Vietnam in the fields of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, support industry, farm produce processing, and production of natural rubber, as well as become strategic shareholders in equitised and listed firms.
Both sides should develop economic, trade and investment ties, as well as tap new opportunities arising from the European Union - Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, he said.
