Doosun licensed to build packaging plant in northern province

The northern province of Thai Nguyen on May 14 granted an investment licence to the wholly-foreign invested Doosun Industries Vietnam Limited Company to build a hi-tech plant manufacturing and printing packaging.

Accordingly, Doosun will pour 14 million USDinto building the plant on a 1.5 hectare site in Nguyen Gon IndustrialCluster of Song Cong town, with construction slated to complete inSeptember and production to officially start in October.

The plant has a design capacity of 10,000 tonnes per year.

At the licence granting ceremony, Duong Ngoc Long, Chairman of theprovincial People’s Committee, requested relevant organisations andagencies to create favourable conditions for the investor to quicklyfinish its procedures and bring the plant into operation.

In response, Doosun pledged to comply with the investment and construction regulations.

Over the recent years, Thai Nguyen province has focused on improvinginvestment environment, to attract more investors. To date, there havebeen 27 valid foreign invested project in the province, with totalregistered capital of 113 million USD.-VNA

Vung Tau - Con Dao high-speed ferry reoperated

Statistics showed that since 2024, there have been 27 documented cases involving Sunview raisins, resulting in fines of over 536 million VND (21,440 USD), primarily due to the sale of smuggled goods and products of unclear origin.
