Border guards in the northern mountainous province of Son La have arrested three people, including a Lao woman, suspected of trafficking nearly 800 ecstasy pills via the border between Vietnam and Laos.
According to initial investigation, the woman admitted that she was hired by two Vietnamese men to transport the ecstasy pills from Laos to Vietnam. Both of the men, who live in the province's Pung Cha commune, said they planned to sell the ecstasy pills.
The trio have been handed over to local police for further investigation.-VNA
