The country’s only oil refinery in the central province of Quang Ngai plans to produce 6.5 million tonnes of products in 2013, nearly 1 million tonnes higher than last year.
It expects to earn 120 trillion VND or 5.7 billion USD in revenue, and contribute 16.8 trillion VND, equivalent to 800 million USD, to the State budget in 2013. This is the highest target ever since the plant started operation in 2009.
Over 4 years of operation, Dung Quat oil refinery has contributed more than 45 trillion VND to the national budget, 2 trillion VND higher than its investment capital.
In 2012, despite many difficulties, the refinery produced nearly 5.5 billion tonnes of products, meeting 91 percent of its yearly plan, and channelling 15 trillion VND to the State budget.-VNA
