The Government has issued a Resolution on expanding the e-government system in a bid to enhance the efficiency of State management, better serve people and enterprises, and increase the status of Vietnam’s e-government on the United Nation rankings.

The document states that between 2015 and 2017, administrative reform will be promoted in tandem with the enhanced application of information and technology (IT) in monitoring and providing online public services to save time and money.

By 2016, all ministries and sectors will be participating in the e -government system, using on-line administration procedures and fee payments.

The application of IT and International Organisation for Standardisation quality management will be strengthened in the public administration system from the central to local levels.

Supervision and monitoring will also be fostered to ensure effective implementation of the Resolution.-VNA
