Efforts made to preserve Vietnamese folk songs in Europe

On June 2, at the 10th anniversary celebration of the Bac Ninh hometown group in the Czech Republic, renowned smooth and emotional quan họ folk songs filled the air in Prague.

Performers from Bac Ninh province and the quan họ Bac Ninh club in the Czech Republic delivered deeply moving performances, showcasing the beauty and vitality of Vietnam's traditional culture. Their efforts highlight the commitment to preserving and promoting this UNESCO Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Czech Republic.

The region is famous for its folk festivals, including the Lim Festival and quan họ folk songs, which were recognized by UNESCO as a Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009.

Ambassador Nam expressed confidence that the Bac Ninh hometown group in the Czech Republic will continue to celebrate and promote the cultural heritage of their homeland, strengthen community bonds, and work alongside the Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic to build a strong, cohesive community.
