Through this support, a nationwide “back to school” campaignhas been launched by the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, andUNICEF, providing practical guidance to children, parents, teachers, and schoolstaff on making schools as safe as possible and reducing the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
According to a press release issued by UNICEF on October14, the campaign will be conducted throughout 2021 and expanded to include valuableand engaging information not only to make schools safe but also to provide a healthyand caring environment for children to learn and thrive.
Critical hygiene supplies will be also delivered to thecountry’s 11,500 pre-schools and primary schools.
