According to experts, the signed Europe-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) will create great opportunities for Viet Nam’s textile and apparel industry.
In 2018, the domestic textile and apparel industry achieved impressive growth, an increase of 16 per cent over 2017, earning over US$36 billion, among the top three largest garment and textile exporters in the world, just behind China and India.
This is a very high growth rate in the context of the world total demand growing by just 3 percent and the top 10 exporting countries of garment and textile growing less than 5 percent.
