Hanoi (VNA) – The Electricity of Vietnam mobilised 2.96 billion USD worthof official development assistance and preferential loans last year.
The funds weresourced from international financial institutions, such as the World Bank (WB),Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Japan International Cooperation Agency.
Of thetotal, 1.76 billion USD was earmarked for power projects.
EVN said international cooperation contributedsignificantly to its growth in 2016, with the WB and ADB supporting the group instudying long-term programmes on finance, management restructuring, renewableenergy and infrastructure development.
The grouphas worked with regional electricity companies to research power exchange aswell as continued projects within the Greater Mekong Sub-Region (GMS),including the building of a GMS electricity trade centre.-VNA
