Hanoi (VNA) – An exhibition highlightingVietnamese women’s role in the national defence and development opened at the Vietnam Military History Museumin Hanoi on October 15.
It is part of the activities to mark the respective 75th and89th founding anniversaries of the People’s Army and the Vietnam Women’s Union.
Featuring nearly 300 documents, images and items, the eventaims to honour women’s contributions to and raise awareness among the armedforces and people, particularly youths, on Vietnam’s revolutionary traditionand patriotism.
The exhibition is curated following different topics –Vietnamese heroines in history, and Vietnamese women in the country’s strugglesfor independence against French and American armies, as well as in nationalbuilding and protection amid the modern context.
Visitors can attend the event until November 20./.
