Exhibition promotes digital transformation in Vietnam

Hanoi (VNA) - Titled “Vietnam’s Aspirations’’, the exhibition is a sideline event of the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians taking place from September 14-18 in Hanoi. The event was jointly organized by the National Assembly of Vietnam and the Youth Union Central Committee.

Located on the first floor of the National Convention Center in Hanoi, the exhibition displays technology and digital transformation products; as well as OCOP products typical of all regions across the country.

Attending the program were Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Duarte Pacheco; IPU Secretary General Martin Chungong; Chairman of the Global Young Parliamentarians Forum Dan Carden as well as the ambassadors, leaders and representatives of international organizations and young parliamentarians.

In his opening speech, Vu Hai Ha, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee under the National Assembly of Vietnam and Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of Vietnam, said that the exhibition is an important event in promoting innovative and creative products imbued with Vietnamese cultural identity and traditions, along with scientific and technological achievements in Vietnam's digital transformation process.

"We hope the exhibition will serve as an useful bridge for young parliamentarians to exchange experiences on digital transformation, flexible adaptation solutions post pandemic and market fluctuations. The event will put forth strategies to create an environment to mobilize resources for development investment, production and business. It will also help to create favourable institutional, environmental and infrastructure conditions for people and businesses to invest and develop; continue economic restructuring to improve the quality and competitiveness of the economy," Ha noted.

He said the organisers have coordinated with ministries and relevant agencies to select typical products to introduce at the exhibition, many of which are "Made in Vietnam" products.

After the opening ceremony, delegates visited unique display booths, representing scientific and technological achievements in Vietnam's digital transformation process.
