Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese, Belgian and French experts in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and data science (DS) discussed the application of latest research outcomes on AI and DS in industrial production and health care at an conference held by Da Nang-based Dong A University and Vietnamese and foreign partners on December 20.

Addressing the event, Luong Minh Sam, Chairman of Dong A University highlighted the role that AI and DS play in creating breakthrough growth in many areas.

In the medical sector, early alerting system using AI has been helpful for COVID-19 prevention and control activities. Meanwhile, the development of Internet of Things (IoT) with AI algorithms has helped digitalise industrial production in smart manufacturing, he noted.

At the conference, participants listened to many reports from experts, including a report by Associate Prof. Nguyen Phuong Khanh, a researcher from France’s National Engineering School of Tarbes highlighting prognostics and health management (PHM) process and smart PHM solutions to deal with issues in the reality.

The conference is an annual forum for AI and DS experts and researchers to share experience and ideas, connecting research outcomes and seeking multilateral partnership in the fields./.
